Alocasia Odora
Alocasia Adoro is a hybrid variety that has huge green leaves
Size: can reach up to 5-6 feet, with 2 foot long leaves
Water: Alocasia prefer moist soil, allow the top 2 inches of soil to dry in between watering, if the leaves start to droop, it’s time to water, ensure plant has good drainage
Fertilizer: Alocasia are heavy feeders and prefer a regular bi-weekly fertilizer schedule, an all purpose or tropical fertilizer is preferred
Light: Bright indirect
Vulnerabilities: Alocasia are susceptible to spider mite and rot root, ensure good drainage and not overwatering will aid in both of these issues- we strongly suggest keeping hte leaves clean with our plant clean wipes and or 3-in one
Tips: Ensure there is higher humidity, Alocasia may go dormant in the winter time, if this happened and all the leaves fall off, check the root ball to ensure there is no rotting, if there isn’t, cut watering in half, and stop fertilizing, return to normal watering and fertilizing in April.
